Placement: Pawn is open to all new players. Rook needs 1+ year of Kings Indian Chess training, or passing a placement assessment & quiz. Queen (Advanced) and the Online Academy need 3+ years with Kings Indian Chess, or a coach’s confirmation that the student demonstrates the required knowledge and skills. The title levels (Expert–Grandmaster) are placed by coach assessment. A coach confirms final placement.

Who it's for: Online Academy students should have 3+ years with Kings Indian Chess, or demonstrate the required knowledge and skills — a coach confirms placement.

Which days work for you? * Online classes run on weekday evenings (Mon–Fri), 7:00–8:00 PM. Pick every day that could work — the more you select, the easier it is to place your child. Final coach & day assignments are confirmed after enrollment.

How online groups work Online classes run in small groups of 4–6 students. If a day doesn't reach the minimum enrollment, Kings Indian Chess reserves the right to cancel that day or merge it with another day's class — we'll always coordinate the new time with you first.

Good to know

🏫 In-person, Sundays 2:00–4:00 PM. All levels meet together in the same window (grouped by skill) — students stay for the full two hours.

↩️ Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment isn't met. Fees are non-refundable after the first two months of classes.
