Where and when are classes held?
In-person on Sundays, 2:00–4:00 PM, at the Dulles South Senior Center in Chantilly, VA. The 2026–2027 season runs September 2026 through May 2027 (30 Sunday sessions).
What ages and levels do you teach?
We welcome students from about age 4 and up, across four levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Tournament. New players start in Beginner; experienced players can take an optional skill assessment (new registrations only) to be placed at the right level.
Does my child stay the whole two hours, or are levels split into shifts?
All levels meet together during the same 2:00–4:00 PM window, grouped by skill for instruction. Your child stays for the full two hours.
Who is the coach?
Our programs are directed by US National Master David Bennett, an International Candidate Master who has trained five DC Champions.
Are classes in person or online?
Classes are in person at the Dulles South Senior Center. We also run coached online tournaments on Saturdays, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM, plus two in-person tournaments (a mid-season event and a season finale).
How do I register?
Complete the registration form to create your account and log in to study materials right away. A Kings Indian Chess volunteer records your payment to finalize enrollment.
What does it cost?
Season fees will be published soon. Sibling, returning-member and referral discounts are available — contact us for details.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment isn't met. Fees are non-refundable after the first two months of classes.
How will I hear from the club?
Families receive weekly email updates and join a WhatsApp group for their child's year group.

We're based in Chantilly, VA and welcome students from Ashburn, South Riding, Aldie, Centreville and across Loudoun County, Fairfax County and Northern Virginia.
